We are looking for a dedicated DevOps engineer with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) experience for one of our international clients in the energy sector. The client is currently undergoing a transformation and is looking for someone with at least 5 years of experience, including 2-3 years with GCP.

Overview of the Role

• Play a crucial role in an extensive cloud transformation involving over 50 applications.
• Combine the management of existing systems with a focus on Cloud Native and GCP solutions.
• This is a temporary position with the possibility of long-term collaboration.

Responsibilities

As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for migrating various applications, including a complex trading platform, to the cloud. You will manage both existing on-premise systems and implement GCP solutions. This involves the entire cloud transformation process, from planning and design to implementation and maintenance.

You will work closely with the Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) and the project team to ensure a smooth transition to GCP. Additionally, you will support SCRUM teams in managing existing systems on VMs using GIT CI/CD pipelines and actively contribute to the transition to Cloud Native technologies.

Requirements

• Extensive experience as a DevOps Engineer with a proven track record in both on-premise application management (sysadmin) and cloud migrations.
• Comfortable working in an Agile/SCRUM environment and effectively within an international team.
• In-depth knowledge and experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Software engineering skills to read and understand application code.
• Experience with Terraform and CI/CD pipelines.
• Preferably knowledge of other cloud solutions.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive work attitude.

• Salary range: €4800 - €5500 gross per month based on 40 hours.
