DevOps Linux Engineer Security

About the Position

We are seeking a passionate DevOps Engineer with strong Linux experience to join our team in Delft, NL, focusing on our security SaaS products.

Your main task will be to automate all our processes, aiming for a smooth and efficient operation. We strive for a "NoOps" approach, automating as much as possible to prevent support tickets. You will optimize our engineering, testing, and deployment processes to ensure every rollout is perfect.

This requires strong technical skills and a meticulous approach. If something doesn't work or you see improvement points, there is always room for that. Your colleagues from the software engineering team are ready to support you.

Responsibilities

• Automate, update, and secure our infrastructure and that of our clients.
• Automate engineering, testing, and deployment processes.
• Participate in projects, such as rolling out new software releases and testing new functionalities.
• Communicate improvements or issues to the software engineering team, and if possible, implement solutions yourself.
• Participate in the 24x7 on-call service (with few calls).

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience with Linux (RHEL/CentOS), networking, and deployment automation.
• Fluency in Dutch and English (German is a plus).
• Hands-on experience with a significant subset of:
  • OS/Software: RHEL/CentOS, Debian/Ubuntu, KVM/Qemu, Apache, MySQL, Elasticsearch, Kibana, RT, JIRA (we are looking for an alternative!), Nagios/check_mk, git, tcpdump, nc, curl, iptables.
  • Automation: Ansible, Buildbot, Docker, Kubernetes, Puppet, Python, shell scripting.
  • Protocols: IP, TCP, UDP, DHCP, RADIUS, SIP, RTP, SNMP, SSH, HTTP, UCP, SMPP, TLS, IMAP, POP3, SMTP.
• Affinity with varied work and the willingness to learn new things.

Nice to Have

• In-depth knowledge of our software applications and those of our clients.
• Extensive knowledge of (mobile) networks, 5G, and various network protocols.
• Direct collaboration with software engineers and the opportunity to expand your knowledge of Python/C/Golang.
