Director of the Department of International Cooperation

About the Position

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine announces a tender for the position of civil service category “B” Director of the Department of International Cooperation. This role is pivotal in managing international relations and ensuring the effective implementation of policy within the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the activities, organization, and implementation of tasks and functions specified in the Regulation on the Department for International Cooperation.
• Ensures coordination of the Department's activities within its delegated powers.
• Monitors and assesses the performance of tasks and functions assigned to the structural unit.
• Participates in the formation, coordination, and implementation of state policy in the field of international cooperation.
• Ensures interaction with representatives of law enforcement agencies of foreign states and international organizations.
• Organizes events of an international nature and coordinates the implementation of agreements.
• Develops draft regulations and international treaties within the Department's competence.

Requirements

• Education: Higher education with a degree not lower than a master's in "International Relations," "Foreign Policy," or "International Law."
• Work Experience: At least two years of experience in public service positions of categories “B” or “C,” or managerial positions in enterprises, institutions, and organizations.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in the state language and proficiency in one or more official languages of the Council of Europe.
• Competencies:
  • Ability to make effective decisions and manage risks.
  • Leadership skills, including motivation, delegation, and forming an effective organizational culture.
  • Strong communication and interaction skills, including public speaking and negotiation.
  • Ability to prioritize, plan, organize, and control activities to achieve strategic goals.
