Director of the Directorate of State Border Security and Migration Processes

About the Position

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine announces a tender for the position of public service category “B” - Director of the Directorate of State Border Security and Migration Processes.

Responsibilities

• Organizes and supervises the activities of the Directorate within the competence of the employees.
• Submits proposals to the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the formation and implementation of state policy in the spheres of activity of the State Border Service of Ukraine and the State Migration Service of Ukraine.
• Issues organizational and administrative acts on the activities of the Directorate and exercises control over their implementation.
• Makes proposals to the management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for conducting official investigations, checks for non-fulfillment or improper performance of official duties, as well as violations of the rules of ethical conduct and other violations of official discipline.
• Makes proposals to the State Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs on the appointment and dismissal of employees of the Directorate, the assignment of ranks to civil servants, the establishment of salaries, surcharges, allowances, bonuses, incentives, including state awards, as well as on bringing them to disciplinary responsibility.
• Contributes to ensuring the implementation of a unified state policy aimed at achieving equal rights and opportunities for women and men within its powers.
• Processes documents containing state secrets in the areas of activity of the Directorate and monitors compliance with the requirements of the legislation on the protection of state secrets, the preservation of information with limited access and the observance of the secrecy regime in the Directorate.
• Informs the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs about the results of the analysis of the reports of the Administration of the State Border Guard Service and the SMS on the implementation of work plans and tasks assigned to them, on the elimination of violations and shortcomings identified during the inspections of the activities of the State Border Guard Service and the SMS, as well as on the bringing to justice the officials guilty of the violations committed.

Requirements

• Education: Higher education with an educational degree not lower than a master's.
• Work experience: Experience in public service positions of categories “B” or “B” or experience of service in local self-government bodies, or experience in managerial positions of enterprises, institutions and organizations, regardless of the form of ownership for at least two years.
• Proficiency in the state language: Fluency in the state language.

We Offer

• Official salary: 19,900 UAH
• Allowances, surcharges, bonuses, and compensation in accordance with Article 52 of the Law of Ukraine “On Civil Service”
• Increase to the official salary for the rank of civil servant in accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of January 18, 2017 No. 15 “The issue of remuneration of employees of state bodies” (as amended)
