About the Position
We are seeking a Django/Python Backend Software Engineer with 3+ years of experience to join our Swiss SME developing geospatial software and hardware solutions for the digital construction site.
About Us
We are a Swiss SME that develops geospatial software and hardware solutions for the digital construction site. Our main topics are cloud-based geodata platforms, 3D-web solutions, automated drone mapping, BIM, IoT-monitoring, and mobile data collector apps.
Responsibilities
- Development and maintenance of our geosolutions backend
- Evaluation and prototyping of new technologies
- Our tech stack is based on Python/Django, PostgreSQL, Angular, and Cesium.js.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in the development of enterprise-level web solutions
- Deep knowledge of Python, Django, PostgreSQL, and REST APIs
- Higher degree in software engineering
- Familiar with standard versioning tools and agile methodology
- Fluent in English
- Independent and highly motivated self-starter with a passion for new technologies
Nice to Have
- Experience in the following topics is a plus: geoinformatics, web-gis, open source geospatial libraries, IoT-messaging systems (RabbitMQ, Redis, Kafka), docker

- Salary: $22-35/hour
- Duration: Permanent
- Selection Process: 3 stages
- Team: 6 developers
- Schedule: 08:00 – 17:30 CET
- Management Tools: Daily stand-ups, Mattermost, GitLab, Kanban board, time tracking in-house
