Responsibilities

Within the Technical Direction Team, you will develop new machines, maintain the documentation and program of existing ones and support ongoing projects. As an EC&I Engineer, your main tasks will be to:

• Provide technical support for the provision of outsourcing of the execution phase and to customers when required.
• Modify and update the design of the electrical and control system.
• Update electrical diagrams.
• Instrumentation recommendations and wiring understanding as well as configuration of the transmitters.
• Programming of PLCs and HMIs.
• Commissioning (locally in workshops as FAT and occasionally on site), monitoring and supervision of works.
• Documentation update.
• Diagnose and analyze the malfunctions of the installations and/or equipment.

Project Execution

• Create or modify the PLC software and HMI layout using simple, reliable, and user-friendly solutions.
• Create the electrical and manufacturing drawings to ensure a smooth and quick production.
• Test the first machines being built and train the personnel.
• Create documentation (manual users, design specifications, etc.) related to the product.

Fabrication Support

• Support the electrical fitters during the fabrication phase about sensor connections and decide on the best way to route cables.
• Support the Factory acceptance test team during the testing phase and train the personnel on new systems.

Technical Support

• Provide technical support on all the Solys portfolio to all the Business Units (BU) throughout the world (internal Veolia customer) and final customers occasionally.
• Support provided remotely via phone and email or locally on site when required.

Product Development and Changes

• Develop new systems and improve existing ones.

Requirements

• Educational background: Electrical, Automation Engineering Degree or similar.
• Language: Fluent in English and Spanish (mandatory).
• More than 5 years of experience in a similar position.
• Specific knowledge and experience: Required in control panels design and Electrical systems. ePlan is a plus.
• Experience in control and instrumentation packages: Simatic Manager, WinCC Flexible, TIA Portal, RSLogix 5000 would be a plus.
• Industrial Networks: Profibus, Profinet, Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP/IP.
• Good communication skills.
• A logical approach to problem solving.
• An ability to document work accurately.
• Security and confidentiality is a vital part of development work and the position is subject to the signing of a confidentiality agreement.
• Good IT culture (comfortable with different OS environments, basic network knowledge, and basic hardware knowledge).
