Electrical/ Mechanical Design Engineer - Transformers

We are seeking a skilled Electrical or Mechanical Design Engineer specializing in Transformer Design to join our Global Engineering Center in Vadodara, India. As part of our dynamic team, you will contribute to innovative and sustainable energy solutions, working alongside experts from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Be part of an International Design and Engineering Team specialized in Oil Type Power Transformer up to 60 MVA 161 kV Class design.
• Influence specifications at the tender and pre-tender stage through conceptual discussions.
• Prepare electrical design (Quotation) meeting factory limitations, guidelines, and checklists as per IEEE standards and project schedules.
• Prepare customer documents, manufacturing documents, and Bill of Materials as per project schedules.
• Coordinate design activities within a worldwide factories network.
• Participate in internal design concept reviews.
• Demonstrate team building and networking skills.
• Communicate and collaborate with technical teams globally.
• Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Requirements

• B.E / B. Tech in Electrical Engineering.
• 5-12 years’ experience in Electrical or Mechanical design for Power Transformers manufacturing industry.
• Understanding of Transformer Electrical Design, Thermal, Dielectrics, Short circuit, and sound performance and transformer mechanics.
• Good understanding of IS/ IEC /IEEE Standards & Canadian Standards.
• Experience in Simulation or software development is advantageous.
• Demonstrated team building skills.
• Proficiency in both spoken & written English language.
