About the Role

We have a rare opportunity for an experienced Engineer to be part of Ocado history, joining us at our operational Customer Fulfilment Centre in Bicester. You will be working on state-of-the-art technology, being the principal point of contact for any critical technical issues, as well as keeping the operation running smoothly through proactive improvement works and maintenance activity. You will be working on a range of incredible machinery, from the impressive conveyor networks to lifts and cranes.

You will work a shift pattern to support our 24/7 operation, consisting of 12-hour shifts across days, nights, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the principal point of contact for critical technical issues
• Ensure smooth operation through proactive improvement works and maintenance activity
• Work on a range of machinery, including conveyor networks, lifts, and cranes

Requirements

• 5+ years of engineering experience
• Strong technical competency and a drive for career progression
• Ideally from an FMCG background, confident working in fast-paced, high-performance environments
• Computer literate, eager to learn new skills, and bring a creative, solution-focused mindset to problem-solving
• Comfortable and trained to work safely at height
• At least a Level 3 qualification or a relevant engineering degree
