Engineering Manager

About the Position

We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead and scale multiple engineering teams in alignment with strategic goals. This role is critical in driving technical direction, improving team effectiveness, and delivering high-impact initiatives across departments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and scale 2–4 cross-functional engineering teams, typically including Backend, Frontend, and QA specialists
• Coach and mentor Team Leads and senior engineers, fostering a culture of high performance
• Ensure strategic alignment and delivery of technical initiatives
• Collaborate with Product Managers to prioritize initiatives and deliver value
• Drive professional growth, system understanding, and cross-team improvements
• Oversee planning, estimation, and delivery timelines
• Act as a communication bridge between teams, stakeholders, and leadership

Requirements

• 5+ years of proven experience as an Engineering Manager or in a similar leadership role in a technical environment
• Strong background in software engineering with system architecture understanding
• Strong Python proficiency, enabling meaningful code-level guidance and performance support for the team (though hands-on coding isn't a core part of the role)
• Ability to manage multiple teams or projects simultaneously
• Hands-on familiarity with logging, monitoring, QA, and deployment practices
• Deep experience in mentoring, team-building, and performance management
• Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
• Familiarity with modern AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT) and how they impact engineering workflows
• Ability to guide the team in evaluating and adopting these tools effectively
• Ukrainian language – native proficiency
