About the Position
We are seeking an EPC Project Director - Advanced Power Generation to join our team at Black & Veatch Family of Companies. In this role, you will direct all aspects of large, complex Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC) projects, with a particular emphasis on safety, quality, construction execution, field leadership, labor productivity, subcontractor performance, project controls, and startup/commissioning integration.
Responsibilities
- Directs all aspects of large, complex EPC projects, including risk to safety, quality, cost, schedule.
- Responsible for the day-to-day successful execution of contracted engineering, procurement, and construction scope.
- Provides for the successful staffing of the project.
- Directs and leads large teams of multi-discipline professionals, including project managers and construction leaders assigned to major EPC projects.
- Coordinates and integrates the activities associated with the engineering, procurement, construction, and startup elements of the project team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Typically 15 years of experience.
- Preferred experience includes leadership of large EPC projects; construction project execution; field leadership; construction planning and sequencing; subcontractor and labor management; labor productivity; schedule, cost, and project recovery; project controls; commercial risk management; and client-facing leadership on complex EPC work.
