About the Position

ERP Developer Analyst - NAV/BC

Our client, a well-established furniture manufacturer, is in the process of upgrading from Dynamics NAV to Business Central and needs a Developer Analyst to play a key role in that effort. We are looking for a solutions-driven individual that can better define business processes, perform GAP-FIT analysis, and deliver in implementing a more out-of-the-box solution that can maximize workflows. Additionally, someone with experience in either C/AL or AL programming is key to help in cleaning up old code, removing technical debt, and optimizing performance in the system's functionality.

Responsibilities

ERP Development & Customization

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain ERP applications
  • Customize existing ERP software to meet business requirements
  • Troubleshoot and debug applications, programs, and reports
  • Evaluate existing systems to enhance, update, or add new features

Business Analysis & Process Improvement

  • Analyze business and manufacturing processes to deliver effective ERP solutions
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand system needs and translate them into technical solutions

Reporting & System Support

  • Develop dashboards, reports, and applications within defined timelines
  • Perform thorough testing prior to system release
  • Resolve help desk tickets and provide ongoing user support
  • Provide after-hours or backup support for IT team members as needed

Collaboration & IT Operations

  • Work with IT and project teams on development, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of systems
  • Partner with project leaders to define scope, priorities, timelines, and budgets
  • Contribute to IT policies, procedures, and best practices (security, disaster recovery, etc.)
  • Assist in evaluating emerging technologies to support new initiatives
  • Support system security and enterprise data management

Documentation

  • Create and maintain technical documentation related to application design, development, and code

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and/or Dynamics NAV
  • Strong programming skills, preferably in C/AL, AL extensions
  • SQL and C# programming is a plus, not required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
  • Manufacturing and distribution background with an understanding of scheduling, quoting, inventory management, pick-pack-ship, and distribution functions
