About the Position

Expert Python Engineer with AI/ML skills

We are looking for an Expert Python Engineer with AI/ML skills to join our team in Kraków, Poland. This role involves developing scalable AI and ML solutions that are transforming the Credit and Lending landscape.

Responsibilities

Write and maintain high-quality, testable, and reusable code
Lead the design of scalable and robust AI/ML solutions
Own engineering execution from technical design to production deployment
Mentor and support other engineers in their daily work
Co-create and promote coding standards and AI best practices
Evaluate and prototype new technologies related to RAG, LLM optimization, and agentic architectures
Translate business requirements into technical solutions
Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders across AI programmes
Ensure solutions are aligned with platform vision and long-term architecture

Requirements

4+ years of hands-on experience working with Python and its ML/AI ecosystem
Strong experience with LLMs including architectures, fine-tuning, RAG, prompt engineering, and agentic systems
Solid knowledge of machine learning, deep learning, and NLP with hands-on project experience
Experience with databases and messaging including PostgreSQL, vector databases, Redis, and Pub/Sub
Strong understanding of microservices architecture, APIs, observability, and concurrency
Experience making architectural decisions and designing scalable systems
Experience with cloud platforms (Azure or GCP), containers, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools
Commitment to engineering excellence including TDD and BDD practices
Very good English communication skills and ability to work with business and technical stakeholders

Nice to Have

Knowledge of Java
Experience with middleware and integration tasks
Experience with Azure DevOps
Experience with GCP Cloud Build
Strong presentation skills
Experience working in the financial services domain
Experience in credit and lending projects
