We are seeking a Finance Manager (Accounting & Consolidation) in Barcelona to oversee the month-end closing and audit processes for our legal entities in Italy, Portugal, Spain, and Poland. You will lead a team of 4-6 accountants, ensure compliance with internal and external policies, and meet reporting deadlines. Your role will also involve analyzing performance versus our Business Plan and supervising monthly reconciliations for both P&L and BS.

You will work closely with our local, regional, and HQ finance teams to propose and implement initiatives that enhance current processes and contribute to the overall success of our organization.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the month-end closing process for Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, and Polish legal entities.
• Ensure accurate and timely Financial Statements and Reports.
• Lead a team of 4-6 accountants from local and international markets.
• Ensure timely submission of financial audits and collaborate with external auditors.
• Review and approve monthly reconciliations for both BS and P&L.
• Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and requirements.
• Ensure adoption of accounting/financial policies and procedures in line with prevailing legislation.
• Proactively map process improvements and collaborate with the Accounting PMO.
• Participate in the implementation of local ERPs and other finance projects.
• Prepare ad hoc analysis to explain deviations of the P&L vs Business Plan.
• Adapt quickly to changes in company policy, tax regulations, and legislation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, or related fields.
• 8+ years of applicable work experience in Accounting for multinational companies.
• Experience in people management positions.
• Experience with general ledger functions and month-end/year-end closing processes.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
• Good understanding and experience of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP/IFRS).
• Fluent in English with the ability to understand and communicate clearly and effectively (both written and oral).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets.
• Experience using SAP S4/HANA and OneStream is a plus.
• Experience with ERP migration is a plus.
• Project Management experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
