About the Position

SharksCode is a Ukrainian IT company specializing in the development of high-tech software solutions and platforms in the B2B sector, particularly in the iGaming industry.

We are currently seeking a Financial Manager JH to join our team in Kyiv, Ukraine. The key task of this position is to build a unified financial structure, ensure the quality, completeness, and consistency of data, and create a single approach to financial control and reporting.

Initially, the specialist will work with the Head of Finance to build the system. After its setup, they will independently coordinate and control the financial work of two teams. As the volume of operations and workload increases, another Financial Manager may be added to the team.

Responsibilities

• Build a unified financial structure: Analyze existing financial processes, accounting systems, and reporting on the team side. Define a single approach to collecting and structuring financial information across all teams and projects. Set up a regular process for collecting financial data from external team financiers. Gradually automate the processes of collecting, consolidating, and verifying financial data.
• Manage and control team finances: Regularly collect and monitor financial information from all teams and projects. Coordinate the work of external team financiers and be the primary financial contact with them. Consolidate financial results across all projects. Ensure compliance of actual indicators with established accounting and reporting rules.
• Debtors and cash flow: Manage and oversee the financial health of the teams.
• Budgeting: Participate in the budgeting process.
• Month-end closing: Ensure accurate and timely month-end closing processes.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Financial Management, FP&A, Management Accounting.
• Experience with media buying, performance marketing, or digital marketing.
• Experience working simultaneously with multiple teams, projects, or business lines.
• Practical experience in building, standardizing, or optimizing financial processes.
• Experience working with multiple sources of financial data and their consolidation.
• Deep understanding of P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, AR/AP, Budget vs Actual, Forecasting, and Month-end Closing.
• Experience in financial control and reconciliation.
• Strong skills in Excel and Google Sheets; experience with BI systems and financial/accounting systems is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work with unstructured information and transform it into a comprehensible financial system.
• Systematic approach and ability to build processes with clear rules, responsible persons, and deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate the work of multiple teams.
• Ability to not only find financial discrepancies but also independently understand their causes and bring issues to resolution.
• High level of ownership and responsibility for the results.
