About the Company

Tripledot Studios is one of the largest independent mobile games companies in the world. We are a multi-award-winning organization with a global team of over 2,500 employees across 12 studios. Our portfolio includes some of the biggest titles in mobile gaming, engaging over 25 million daily active users. Our guiding principle is that when people love what they do, what they do will be loved by others.

Role Overview

Puzzleplay at Tripledot Studios is looking for a data analyst to manage the fraud aspect of our user segmentation work. You'll be part of a team building a system that combines fraud and activity signals to understand users and inform revenue-share decisions. You'll work closely with the analyst responsible for gameplay signals, alongside product and data colleagues, to keep the system effective as fraud patterns evolve.

Responsibilities

Review Fraud Signals: Regularly review, add, remove, and refine fraud signals to distinguish suspicious activity from legitimate users. Signals include IP spoofing, VPN use, and unusual play patterns.
Manage Fraud Segments: Own the fraud-related segments of the user segmentation system, from interpreting signals to monitoring category performance over time.
Collaborate on Verification Tools: Work with the product team on fraud verification tools for different markets. Currently, the team uses FaceTec for facial verification and may need other methods, such as ID scanning or phone verification, in other countries.
Investigate Flagged Users: Investigate users flagged for manual review, including ambiguous cases in the Tremendous queue, and look for ways to improve the review process.
Identify Signal Gaps: Identify gaps in the available signals and recommend third-party tools for the product roadmap where they would be beneficial.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise

Hands-on Data Analysis: Experience using data to investigate fraud and shape detection or prevention decisions.
Fraud Signal Design: Experience designing or improving fraud signals, user segments, or review processes, with an interest in how those decisions change as tactics evolve.
Collaboration: Ability to work with product and other teams to turn analysis into operational fraud controls.
