The Role

Puzzleplay at Tripledot Studios is looking for a data analyst to manage the fraud aspect of our user segmentation work. You will be part of a team building a system that combines fraud and activity signals to understand users and inform revenue-share decisions. This role is open to candidates based in Europe, with a preference for Warsaw.

Responsibilities

Review Fraud Signals: Regularly review, add, remove, and refine fraud signals to distinguish suspicious activity from legitimate users. Consider signals such as IP spoofing, VPN use, and unusual play patterns.
Manage Fraud Segments: Own the fraud-related segments of the user segmentation system, from deciding how signals should be interpreted to monitoring their effectiveness over time.
Collaborate on Verification Tools: Work with the product team on fraud verification tools for different markets. Currently, we use FaceTec for facial verification and may need other methods, such as ID scanning or phone verification, in other countries.
Investigate Flagged Users: Investigate users flagged for manual review, including ambiguous cases in the Tremendous queue, and look for ways to improve the review process.
Identify Gaps and Recommend Tools: Identify gaps in the available signals and recommend third-party tools for the product roadmap where they would help.

Requirements

Hands-on Data Analysis: Experience using data to investigate fraud and shape detection or prevention decisions.
Signal Design: Experience designing or improving fraud signals, user segments, or review processes, with an interest in how those decisions evolve as tactics change.
Collaboration: Ability to work with product and other teams to turn analysis into operational fraud controls.
