About the Position

We are looking for a Chief Accountant to join our team in Szczecin, Poland. You will manage the accounting team, oversee financial reporting, and ensure compliance with Polish law.

Responsibilities

• Manage the accounting team: Assign tasks, provide technical support, and achieve goals
• Supervise financial records: Oversee accounting books, financial reporting, and tax settlements in accordance with Polish law
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting: Provide reports for the capital group in line with accounting policies
• Prepare cash flow reports and financial forecasts
• Oversee accounting policies, chart of accounts, accounting procedures, tax schemes, and transfer pricing documentation
• Collaborate with auditors, tax advisors, and external institutions (US, GUS, NBP)
• Work closely with the CFO and other departments
• Participate in the development of ERP systems and the improvement and automation of accounting processes

Requirements

• Higher education in finance, accounting, or economics
• Experience in a similar role
• Excellent knowledge of the Accounting Act, tax law, and IFRS standards
• Fluency in English
• High analytical skills
• Experience in team management and effective communication
• Excellent work organization, meticulousness, responsibility, and resilience under time pressure
