About the Position

We are seeking a skilled Grails Developer with 5+ years of Java/JEE experience to join our team. You will work with UX and Design teams to implement technology solutions.

Responsibilities

Work collaboratively with UX and Design teams as a technical liaison and strategist
Research, design, and implement the appropriate technology solutions based on business requirements
Maintain consistent communication with A&D Account Executives regarding scheduling, progress, and scope
Active software engineering consultant for A&D clients and partners

Requirements

5+ Years Java/JEE development experience in an enterprise
3+ Experience in Grails Web Framework and Groovy Language
Must have experience integrating Grails code with front-end JavaScript frameworks including jQuery
Must have experience working with XML and JSON using Grails, JMS and Web services, XML, Apache Tomcat, SQL, Unix, and GIT
Experience with RDMS concepts and SQL
Experience with RESTful Web Services
Understanding of proper application design techniques and methodologies
Proficient understanding of SDLC processes, Agile desired

Nice to Have

Experience with MVC-based frameworks (Grails, Rails, Spring, MVC, Play!, etc)
Strong understanding of web application architecture
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Familiarity with front-end technologies
Experience with version-control tools
