About the Job

Build your first real systems engineering experience on AI hardware you can measure, test, and improve.

As a Systems Engineering Intern in Austin, you will contribute to projects across hardware, firmware, and software engineering. You will help validate advanced AI compute platforms from subsystem behavior to full system performance.

You will support CPU and high-speed input and output subsystem work, including lab testing, automation, and data analysis. Your work will help engineers understand performance, power, signal behavior, and reliability.

You will gain hands-on experience with technologies such as PCIe 6.0, 800G Ethernet, and high-performance cooling. You will own defined technical tasks with guidance, then document your methods, results, and conclusions.

This internship is a chance to turn academic learning into practical engineering judgment on real AI hardware.

Requirements

• Current enrollment in a bachelor's, master's, or doctoral program in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or a closely related field
• Hands-on lab testing or technical measurement experience
• Experience with at least one programming or scripting language (Python, C, C++, MATLAB)
• Foundational understanding of computer architecture, digital systems, embedded systems, or hardware-software interaction
• Analytical problem-solving skills and interest in how hardware, firmware, and software operate together
• Clear documentation habits, constructive communication, and willingness to learn unfamiliar tools with guidance
