HCL Commerce Backend Developer

About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled HCL Commerce Backend Developer to develop, maintain, and optimize cutting-edge e-commerce applications. If you are passionate about building scalable solutions and thrive in a dynamic team environment, this opportunity is for you.

Responsibilities

• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable Java code
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications for performance and reliability
• Address and implement technical requirements for scalable solutions
• Collaborate across multifunctional teams in a multicultural, multi-location environment
• Develop and maintain features within the IBM WebSphere eCommerce platform
• Leverage Solr Search for advanced search functionality within the system
• Support CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins and Rundeck
• Ensure static code quality by utilizing governance tools like Sonar
• Work with Oracle DB systems to manage and optimize data
• Implement solutions on Azure Cloud stack
• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers within the team
• Provide technical expertise and foster growth within the development team

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience with HCL WebSphere Commerce 8 backend development
• Solid knowledge of Java / J2EE, Spring, and REST/SOAP APIs
• Background in commerce customization, business logic implementation, and integrations
• Familiarity with DB2/SQL, WebSphere Application Server, and eCommerce architecture
• Expertise in troubleshooting/debugging and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Good written and spoken English for communication with distributed teams (B1+ level or higher)

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with Akamai for content delivery optimization
• Experience with Cybersource for payment solutions
• Background in BitBucket workflows and development management
• Expertise in customization within IBM WebSphere eCommerce
