Job description

Head of Events - Maternity Leave Contract

About the Position

We are looking for a commercially minded, creatively driven Head of Events to lead the strategy and delivery of standout physical, digital, and integrated experiences across BINGE, Kayo Sports, and DAZN Australia. This is a 9-month maternity leave contract.

Reporting to the Director of Communications, you’ll turn brand, content, sport, and entertainment priorities into culturally relevant activations, events, partnerships, and moments that audiences want to talk about and share.

This is a portfolio-level role for an experienced brand-experience leader who can balance bold creative thinking with commercial judgment, operational rigor, and exceptional stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

  • Own the annual brand-experience strategy and activation roadmap across BINGE, Kayo Sports, and DAZN Australia.
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of premium experiences-from insight, strategy, and creative concept through to production, execution, measurement, and optimization.
  • Set the creative and experiential direction for activations involving brands, content, talent, sport, and entertainment properties.
  • Lead major external, stakeholder, and partner events, including the Foxtel Media Upfront, Winter Codes at Parliament House, and national end-of-year events.
  • Create integrated activations across earned, owned, paid, social, PR, content, and partner channels to drive awareness, engagement, media impact, and commercial outcomes.
  • Develop compelling brand experiences for external partners through Foxtel Media Partnerships, balancing mutual value with brand integrity and audience trust.
  • Build and manage high-performing relationships with agencies, production partners, venues, suppliers, talent, creators, and influencers.
  • Oversee budgets, business cases, procurement, contracts, governance, and risk management.
  • Establish scalable frameworks and best-practice ways of working that raise the quality and consistency of experiential activity across the portfolio.
  • Define and evaluate success across brand impact, audience engagement, earned media, social amplification, stakeholder value, and commercial outcomes.
  • Influence and align senior stakeholders across Communications, Marketing, Brand, Content, Sales, Partnerships, Commercial, Legal, and Finance.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience leading multiple complex projects from strategy through to delivery.
  • Strong experience in integrated communications and 360-degree marketing, spanning earned, owned, and paid channels.
  • A proven ability to develop distinctive, culturally relevant brand experiences that drive visibility, engagement, and conversation.
  • Excellent creative, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to turn ideas into compelling briefs, plans, and outcomes.
  • Strong commercial acumen and experience managing budgets, suppliers, contracts, and business cases.
  • Exceptional organization, accountability, and attention to detail in fast-paced environments.
  • Sound judgment and confidence navigating complex or ambiguous situations.
  • The ability to work autonomously while bringing diverse teams and stakeholders together.
  • A collaborative leadership style that coaches others, raises standards, and creates alignment.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in influencer and talent engagement, including strategy, identification, relationship management, and optimization.
  • Experience working in entertainment, sport, media, streaming, or adjacent industries.
  • An established network across Australian talent, creators, agencies, suppliers, or industry partners.
  • A strong instinct for creating highly shareable moments that build audience connection and brand relevance.

We Offer

  • You’re part of Fox Flex, our hybrid way of working with time spent at home and on campus.
  • Free & discounted products including Foxtel, Foxtel Broadband, Kayo Sports, and BINGE.
  • Special days away from work for Birthday, Cultural & Volunteer Leave.
  • VIP Experiences: Free tickets to sporting events, red carpet premieres, advance screenings, and behind-the-scenes tours.
  • Access to our holistic Fox Fit wellbeing program.
  • Company-wide meeting-free lunch hours and Friday afternoons.
