We are seeking a Head of Legal for our media and publishing company in Kyiv, Ukraine. Join our team to manage legal affairs and compliance.

We are ready to delegate a significant part of the legal decisions to your area of responsibility: business structuring, choice of work model in specific regions, approach to interaction with regulatory authorities, and the company's position in media disputes. Our candidate does not formalize already adopted decisions but participates in their development.

Responsibilities

• Preparation, analysis, and support of contracts: advertising, agency, public offers, affiliate and media agreements (CPA, RevShare, hybrid), content, and license agreements.

• Preparation of T&C, Privacy Policy, and GDPR documentation for websites.

• iGaming legal & regulatory compliance: determining permissible geographies and rules of operation within them, establishing regulatory requirements for advertising, age restrictions, mandatory warnings and disclaimers, bonuses, and content.

• Preparation of responses to requests from government agencies, specialized regulators, correspondence with hosts and payment providers;

• KYC/AML compliance for banks and PSP/EMI, compliance onboarding of partners;

• Participation in international corporate and tax structuring of the group;

• Participation in the structuring and transfer of IP rights, trademark registration;

• Making changes to the legal structure of the company and constituent documents, submitting updates to government registers;

• Preparation of employment contracts, gig contracts, and documents for individual entrepreneurs;

• Media protection in disputes over publications: lawsuits for the protection of honor, dignity, and business reputation, demands for retraction and removal of materials, claims of copyright holders regarding photos and content; position preparation, interaction with external lawyers, pre-trial settlement;

• Consultations on corporate, labor, tax, international law, and intellectual property law, as well as other issues related to the legal support of the group of companies.

Requirements

What We Expect

• 3+ years of legal experience in IT, media, advertising, or international consulting;

• 2+ years of legal experience in iGaming – operator, affiliate, game provider, or B2B service;

• Experience in KYC/AML in banks, PSP/EMI, and compliance onboarding of iGaming operators;

• Deep knowledge of commercial, corporate, tax, labor, and international law;

• Practical experience with international jurisdictions and English-language contracts;

• Initiative and willingness to work with a wide range of legal tasks, applying creative thinking to solve legal issues;

• English – B2+: drafting contracts from scratch and positional correspondence with regulators, banks, and platforms.
