About the Role

As the Head of S&M Cities Italy, you will have full P&L responsibility and own 360º the business in the Small and Medium cities (~30% of Italy business) and define the prioritization strategy. You will lead a team of +10 talented people to greatness, define and pursue the long-term strategy for the cities, and leverage Italy and regional teams resources towards ambitious objectives. You will establish and maintain the best possible partnerships with retailers and stores for our platform.

Responsibilities

• Have full P&L responsibility and own 360º the business in the Small and Medium cities (~30% of Italy business) and define the prioritization strategy
• Lead a team of +10 talented people to greatness
• Define and pursue the long-term strategy for the cities and leverage Italy and regional teams resources towards ambitious objectives
• Establish and maintain the best possible partnerships with retailers and stores for our platform
• Be informed, get involved and make things happen with a doer attitude
• Contribute actively to the teams’ development and learn from each other in a supportive environment that allows you to grow, develop and make the difference

Requirements

• Solid experience in fast-paced environments (startup, investment banking, top consulting firms or top tech companies)
• Relevant experience leading cross-functional teams with 5+ people
• A data-driven mentality, taking decisions based on data and using good business judgment when necessary
• Persuasive in the most pleasant possible way and have no trouble selling anything that brings value to customers/partners and the Glovo platform
• Good judgment and assertiveness and own up to your mistakes facing any situation with an optimistic approach
• Extremely curious and have a desire to acquire a deep understanding on new topics
• Find smart and elegant solutions to complex and multi-disciplinary challenges with great critical-thinking
• Extremely agile and thrive in ambiguous environments
• Always respectful, kind and fair. All of your current and former reports speak highly of you as a manager and leader
• Ambition that makes some people think you're crazy because you are ahead of the edge while inspiring the vast majority
• Owner, natural bias for action, always pushing for things to happen, objective and deadline oriented with a hands-on spirit
• Excellent English and Italian. Spanish is a plus
• Empathetic, inclusive and curious attitude across the business and the industry

Base Hiring Range

EUR 80,000 - EUR 100,000 - Yearly

On top, your total compensation may include other benefits described above and equity and/or variable bonuses for pre-defined roles.

This is the initial hiring range for this role and level. If at any point during the process we determine your experience and scope better align with a different role, we'll be happy to review & share it with you, before moving forward to the next stage of the process!
