Head of the Department of Information Support and Monitoring

About the Position

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine announces competitions for public service positions of categories “B” and “B”. We are seeking a Head of the Department of Information Support and Monitoring to lead our team in combating drug crime in Kyiv, Ukraine.

Responsibilities

• Carries out organizational and methodological management of the department and control over the work of its employees, on compliance by employees of the department with the rules of internal labor regulations and implementation of the legislation of Ukraine on civil service issues, prevention of corruption, etc.
• Provides information-analytical support to the activities of the Office.
• Prepares and submits for signature or approval to the Minister, his deputy, according to the distribution of functional responsibilities, draft organizational and administrative acts developed by the Office.
• By order of the Head of the Department prepares information-analytical, statistical materials and other documents on issues within the competence of the department.
• Processes incoming correspondence, which comes from ministries, departments, other executive bodies, considers complaints, statements and appeals of citizens and carries out their timely execution in accordance with the requirements of the Law of Ukraine “On State Secrets”.
• Organizes the collection, generalization of information-analytical, statistical materials and other documents on issues within the competence of the Office.
• Provides preparation in the areas of activity, draft orders, decisions of the Board of the Ministry, meetings of the management of the Department, department, other documents.
• Organizes, within the competence, meetings of working groups, meetings, preparation of materials for them.
• Participates in the work of departmental, interdepartmental working groups established in order to prepare amendments to the current legislation in the field of combating drug crime, improving the level of combating it.
• Within the limits of the powers conferred, prepares materials based on the results of meetings, departmental, interdepartmental working groups.

Requirements

• Education: Higher education with an educational degree not lower than a master's degree.
• Work experience: Experience in public service positions of categories “B” or “B” or experience of service in local self-government bodies, or experience in managerial positions of enterprises, institutions and organizations, regardless of the form of ownership for at least two years.
• Proficiency in the state language: Fluency in the state language.

We Offer

• Official salary: 13,700 UAH.
• Allowances, surcharges, bonuses and compensation: In accordance with Article 52 of the Law of Ukraine “On Civil Service”.
• Increase to the official salary for the rank of civil servant: In accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of January 18, 2017 No. 15 “The issue of remuneration of employees of state bodies” (as amended).
