The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine announces competitions for public service positions of categories “B” and “B” in the Department for ensuring the formation of state policy in the field of combating drug crime.

Head of the Department of Information Support and Monitoring

We're seeking a Head of the Department of Information Support and Monitoring for the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine to lead and manage the department's activities.

Responsibilities

• Carries out organizational and methodological management of the department and control over the work of its employees.
• Provides information-analytical support to the activities of the Office.
• Prepares and submits for signature or approval draft organizational and administrative acts.
• Processes incoming correspondence and carries out their timely execution.
• Organizes the collection, generalization of information-analytical materials.
• Provides preparation in the areas of activity, draft orders, decisions of the Board of the Ministry, meetings of the management of the Department, department, other documents.
• Organizes, within the competence, meetings of working groups, meetings, preparation of materials for them.
• Participates in the work of departmental, interdepartmental working groups.
• Prepares materials based on the results of meetings, departmental, interdepartmental working groups.

Requirements

• Education: Higher education with an educational degree not lower than a master's degree.
• Work Experience: Experience in public service positions of categories “B” or “B” or experience of service in local self-government bodies, or experience in managerial positions of enterprises, institutions and organizations, regardless of the form of ownership for at least two years.
• Proficiency in the state language: Fluency in the state language.
• Core Skills:
  • Strategic Management: Vision of the overall picture and long-term goals; the ability to determine the direction and form appropriate development plans; the ability to assess gender impact during the formation, implementation and analysis of public policy; determination and perseverance in the implementation of changes; evaluation of the effectiveness of the adjustment of plans.
  • Personnel Management: Delegation and management of results; motivation management; mentoring and talent development; stimulation of teamwork and cooperation.
  • Knowledge of legislation: Knowledge of the Constitution of Ukraine; Law of Ukraine “On Civil Service”; Law of Ukraine “On Prevention of Corruption” and other legislation.

We Offer

• Official salary - 13,700 UAH.
• Allowances, surcharges, bonuses and compensation in accordance with Article 52 of the Law of Ukraine “On Civil Service”.
• Increase to the official salary for the rank of civil servant in accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of January 18, 2017 No. 15 “The issue of remuneration of employees of state bodies” (as amended).
