About the Position

IA & Data Engineer

Talan, an international consulting and technology expertise group, is seeking an AI & Data Engineer to join a major player in the financial sector. This role involves developing and deploying analytical and AI solutions in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and data products for analytics and AI
• Participate in defining and optimizing hybrid data architectures (on-premise / cloud)
• Develop, deploy, and supervise machine learning models (fraud, AML/KYC, commercial performance, document analysis)
• Implement AI and LLM solutions: OCR, document classification, information extraction, RAG
• Industrialize developments through CI/CD, MLOps, and API integration
• Ensure quality, traceability, model supervision, and compliance with AI governance requirements
• Write technical documentation and participate in validation committees
• Collaborate with business, IT, compliance, and risk teams
• Contribute to transformation projects and support junior profiles

Requirements

• Higher education in computer science, data, AI, mathematics or equivalent
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data science, or AI, ideally in a regulated environment
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Git
• Strong skills in machine learning, NLP, and model evaluation
• Experience with Dataiku, Snowflake, or Big Data platforms
• Sense of industrialization and production deployment
• Autonomy, teamwork, and good communication skills
• Fluent in French and English

Nice to Have

• Experience with LLM, prompt engineering, LangChain
• Knowledge of OCR and document processing
• Understanding of DevOps / MLOps (containers, orchestration, CI/CD)
• Comprehension of banking, regulatory, and AML/KYC issues
• Ability to synthesize and ease in speaking
