Imaging Operator 2 (Days) - BCS

RRD is a leading global provider of marketing, packaging, print, and supply chain solutions that elevate engagement across the complete customer journey. We are currently seeking an Imaging Operator 2 to join our team in St Charles, IL.

Location: Wallace Ave, BCS

Shift: Thurs, Fri, Sat, 6am-6pm

Responsibilities

• Operate high resolution, variable print proprietary imaging equipment
• Program and prepare jobs for printing
• Maintain daily print job production logs and daily delivery manifests
• Setup, program, and release jobs from print queue
• Adjust image position, color quality, resolution, perforations, and folds on paper
• Monitor quality of job output for correctness and image quality
• Order supplies such as ink, chemical solutions, blankets, rollers, paper, tabs, and other items as needed
• Instruct junior level operators on corrective adjustments
• Share expertise and help train other employees as assigned
• Carry out other responsibilities as delegated by management

Requirements

• Excellent knowledge of digital print and/or ink jet equipment set up, adjustment, operating procedures
• Ability to diagnose, solve, and correct operating problems affecting the quality and timeliness of the service or product or function
• Knowledge of color theory and ability to make adjustments and color corrections
• Good knowledge of file manipulation and file formats for digital print
• Good knowledge and ability to set up feed rollers, tensioning, timing, and in-line finishing per job specifications
• Lifting up to 50 lbs, 4-6 hours
• Walking/standing, 6-7 hours
• Bending/stooping, 2-3 hours
