About the Position
We are seeking an Incident Analyst to track and coordinate the resolution of data incidents across various teams in Toronto, ON. This hybrid role offers a 6-month contract with the potential for extension.
Responsibilities
- Act as the central point of contact for structured data incident coordination from identification to resolution.
- Facilitate triage meetings with data stewards, technical leads, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure incident ownership is assigned and progress is followed up on.
- Track incident metrics and maintain dashboards (e.g., volume, resolution time).
- Escalate blockers that may impact SLA compliance (SLA to identify path forward or resolve = 4 days).
- Provide clear, data-driven updates and insights in meetings.
- Contribute to playbooks and process improvements for incident management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Analytics, Data Management, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience.
- Basic knowledge of structured data and basic data governance roles (e.g., data stewards, TALs).
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of SQL or scripting languages.
- Experience with Excel-based reporting.
- Interest in data governance and process improvement.
- Motivated to learn and grow in a data operations or coordination role.
We Offer
- Contract: 6 months (possibility of extension)
- Location: Toronto, ON
- Work Model: Hybrid (4 days/week on site) – No on-call requirement
- Salary: $22-26/hr
