What we are looking for:

We currently have an opening for a Mainframe Engineer who wants to develop their career at GFT. We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic person with an interest in working in our international projects area.

Responsibilities

Although they will depend on your profile and experience, in general, the main functions you would carry out with us would be:

• Analyze and program both existing code and from scratch, and maintain software modules of medium complexity, working from detailed requirements and specifications in oral and written form.
• Perform code reviews of other developers and provide improvement points.
• Provide support to junior profiles acting as a reference point when they need help or support on specific topics.
• Assist in the development of software module and application prototypes.
• Develop unit tests and take responsibility for the unit testing of your own code.
• Participate in different phases of the development cycle.

Requirements

• Graduated in Computer Engineering (or equivalent).
• Good level of English (B2 minimum).
• Experience of at least 3 years with Cobol/CICS/DB2.
• Experience in both development and analysis.
• Knowledge and experience in testing.
• Experience in technical projects such as: consumption analysis, optimization of batch/online processes, migration/regeneration of data, etc.
