We are currently seeking a Mainframe Engineer to join our international projects team and develop their career at GFT. We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic person interested in working in our area of international projects.
Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Analyzing and programming both existing code and from scratch, and maintaining medium-complexity software modules, working from detailed oral and written requirements and specifications.
- Conducting code reviews for other developers and providing improvement points.
- Providing support to junior profiles by acting as a reference point when they need help or support on specific topics.
- Assisting in the development of software module prototypes and applications.
- Developing unit tests and taking responsibility for the unit testing of your own code.
- Participating in different phases of the development cycle.
Requirements
- Graduated in Computer Engineering (or equivalent).
- Good level of English (B2 minimum).
- Experience of at least 3 years with Cobol/CICS/DB2.
- Experience in both development and analysis.
- Knowledge and experience in testing.
- Experience in technical projects such as: consumption analysis, optimization of batch/online processes, migration/regeneration of data, etc.
