About the Position

Intern, Asset Securitisation (Global Capital Markets)

Join ING as an Asset Securitisation Intern in Singapore, contributing to the growth of our APAC region and gaining exposure to global financial markets.

Responsibilities

• Support in origination, structuring, and execution of Asset Backed Securities (ABS) and Residential Mortgage Backed Securities (RMBS) programmes.
• Work closely with Bond Syndicate in the execution of fast-paced public capital markets securitisation transactions.
• Assist in preparing credit memos, analysing quantitative and qualitative aspects of transactions ING is involved in, including understanding and applying ABS/RMBS rating agency methodologies as well as cashflow modelling of ABS transactions.
• Continuously be at the vanguard of relevant market developments such as the exploration of new asset classes.
• Engage in deal activity, getting exposed to a strong network of issuers and investors active in (structured) financial asset products.
• Monitor developments in Asia Pacific and European securitisation capital markets, advising clients timely of opportunities and activities.
• Act as first line of defence for credit and market risk in matters concerning ASec’s asset portfolio of ABS/RMBS/Covered Loans/Warehouses/Swaps.

Requirements

• Presently undertaking an Undergraduate degree, preferably in mathematics, (business) economics or econometrics and ideally at least some experience in (wholesale) banking.
• Strong affinity with banking, regulations, and financial products.
• Strong analytical skills, passion for minutia with a natural aptitude to be able to explain this in a broader context.
• Strong ability to manage deadlines and deliver on expectations working within a global team that covers all time zones.
• Enjoy being in a diverse team that shifts from balance sheet management, balance sheet funding, bond issuance, and hedging activities multiple times per day.
• Entrepreneurial spirit and an open mind to work on new concepts.
• Strong communication skills and fluent in English, both verbal & written.
