Internship in Translation Project Management

Summary:

The intern will form part of our Translation Project Management team and will primarily be responsible for providing support on Translation projects in accordance with the standards of our company.

This is an excellent opportunity to learn and develop different transferable skills through a valuable experience in a multicultural and dynamic environment. Given the cross-departmental collaboration on a global scale, the intern will gain a thorough understanding of multiple business operations in the world's leading Language Services Provider.

Responsibilities

• Providing support on different phases of Translation projects
• Looking for corresponding linguists in the database
• Negotiating with freelance translators and proofreaders
• Preparing job folders and files for translation
• Ensuring deadlines are met with the linguists according to projects
• Preparing trackers, job folders, and files for subsequent translations or media team tasks
• Issuing POs for vendors
• Potentially carrying out linguistic/non-linguistic final checks to ensure the final product meets clients' needs

Requirements

• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, other languages would be an asset
• Studies related to translation, linguistics, or similar (knowledge of CAT tools is very desirable)
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to adhere to schedules and deadlines, prioritizing when needed to accomplish requests effectively and efficiently
• Strong attention to detail, able to process vast amounts of information accurately
• Strong interpersonal skills with a proactive, can-do attitude
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of CAT tools
