Description of the Role

Context:

With over 700 consultants, Wavestone's CTO Advisory Business Unit aims to support the complex digital transformation projects of our major clients, from strategic framing to implementation and associated change management. CTO Advisory addresses all technological and organizational transformations of Chief Technology Officers (CTOs). We work hand in hand with consultants from sectoral BUs, within multi-specialist teams, to address all these transformation issues for our clients.

Within CTO Advisory, our Strategic IT Programs and M&A team addresses all the operational and economic issues our Chief Technology Officers (CTOs) encounter during their IT M&A transformations, including:

• Large IT Transformation Programs: How to conduct a strategic transformation of the information system?
• Operational Model: What operational model to adopt to maximize the value delivered and support the IT strategy while addressing business issues?
• Strategic IT Vision: What strategic IT vision in the medium/long term to align technological initiatives with the company's objectives and priorities?
• Finance: How to manage and optimize IT costs in a context of budget efficiency and maximization of value created?
• Sourcing: What sourcing strategy to define and implement to maximize economic and operational performance?
• IT Service Offer: How to improve the management of managed IT services to simplify their consumption by internal clients of the CIO, while maximizing service quality?
• Talents and Skills: How to anticipate and effectively manage the evolution of skills needs within the IT department, in the face of technological advances and organizational changes?
• Change Management: How to support employees so that they adapt to the changes in their daily lives, resulting from transformation programs and the introduction of new uses and tools?
• Mergers, Acquisitions & Divestitures (M&A): How to support end-to-end M&A operations from an IT perspective (Due Diligence, Transition Approach, Transition Execution)?
• IT Processes: How to define, organize, and equip the operational activities of IT teams to provide IT services, from the collection of business needs to the daily provision of the service.

Objective of the Internship:

As part of this internship, you will be actively integrated into the "Strategic IT Programs and M&A" offer of the CTO Advisory practice to participate in the formalization of its convictions, enrich its technological watch force, and energize its commercial activity with the firm's clients.

You will work on a subject related to the following issue: IT M&A - What strategic, technological, and organizational accelerators to support major transformations?

Tasks to be carried out:

Your contribution will be materialized in the production of a deliverable such as a white paper, synthesis of the state of the art, benchmark, or book of convictions on a specific theme on the subjects of the offer to be defined upon your arrival with the head of the community.

In parallel, you will participate as an intern in one or more consulting missions for our clients, being integrated into a team of consultants under the responsibility of a mission director.

You may be required to interview companies, publishers, or start-ups, and the work carried out may be the subject of publication(s) and be shared within the Business Unit.

You will also have the opportunity to develop your expertise by following training sessions, provided by our consultants or partners, as well as through self-training via access to numerous e-learning & MOOCs platforms.

Qualifications

Student within a major engineering school, management school, or a major university, you are attracted to consulting and have a strong appetite for IT.

You wish to develop skills related to the consulting profession and the issues of organizational transformation.
