About the Position

IT Project Manager – Financial Services

GFT Italia is seeking a Project Manager for projects related to financial services. A professional who collaborates to improve service effectiveness and efficiency, designing new processes and solutions, adopting best practices, and guiding colleagues to achieve objectives, with experience in managing core projects in the banking and/or insurance sector.

Responsibilities

• Plan time management (ensure delivery on budget, on schedule, on quality, setting and monitoring project plans)
• Control costs (management of suppliers and all economic/financial aspects of the project)
• Analyze, monitor, and manage project risks
• Govern project documentation
• Manage meetings with the Client's management for updates
• Collaborate internally with Client Managers (support in pre-sales activities, preparation for tenders, company presentations, and offerings to potential new clients)
• Evaluate impacts and estimate the effort (in terms of time and cost) required to implement new projects
• Coordinate the delivery team's activities, ensuring functional and technical coherence and consistency of the proposed and implemented solutions, specifically: Coordinate the analysis, design, and implementation of complex applications
• Support in the design and definition of technological choices, considering the application context

Requirements

• At least 8-10 years of experience in consulting firms
• Project experience in PMO/PM roles in financial contexts
• Ability to manage large IT projects
• Budget management and planning of each initiative based on priorities agreed with the general management and reporting and management of any change requests
• Reporting to the management and project and initiative managers about the progress and outcomes
• Preparation of project documentation and analyses, in coordination with other company functions
• Maintenance of project documentation (Business requirements, kick-off, SAL, Work plans)
• Fluency in English, both spoken and written formally
• Familiarity with remote work, managing virtual teams, and team building without in-person presence
• Availability for travel within Italy
• In-depth knowledge of major project management methodologies (Waterfall or Agile)
• Excellent organizational skills and result-oriented mindset
• Predisposition to work in a team in an international context

Nice to Have

• PM certifications (PMI, Prince2)
• Degree in Engineering (Computer, Management) or Economics

We Offer

• Salary range: RAL 55,000 – 68,000
• The specific compensation will be determined during the selection phase based on the profile and in accordance with the Distribution and Services Tertiary Collective Bargaining Agreement.
• The specific compensation, including any variable elements (such as MBO) or additional benefits, will depend on the evaluation of the profile against the position's requirements.
