About the Position

We are looking for an IT Systems Architect for a premium clinic in Ukraine to build and develop the IT landscape from scratch. This is an opportunity to create the technological foundation of a modern clinic from the ground up: not just implementing individual solutions, but forming a cohesive environment that will support medical, operational, and customer processes for years to come.

For this role, it is crucial to not only have experience with individual systems but also to understand the relationships between them, make architectural decisions, and take responsibility for them.

Responsibilities

Architecture and Technological Strategy

Formulate the target IT architecture of the clinic considering medical, operational, and business processes.
Determine which systems, technologies, and solutions are necessary for the launch and further development of the clinic.
Design architecture considering scalability, reliability, security, and convenience for future users.
Define technical standards, integration principles, and approaches to interaction between systems.

Data and Integrations

Design approaches for storage, transformation, synchronization, and transfer of medical, financial, operational, and personnel data.
Formulate the integration and analytical framework of the clinic.
Ensure coordinated interaction between HIS, eHealth, CRM, HR systems, SCM, and BI solutions.
Define principles of data management, quality, availability, and protection.

Selection of Solutions and Work with Contractors

Formulate technical requirements for systems, equipment, and services.
Conduct technical evaluation of suppliers, contractors, and integrators.
Participate in the selection of HIS, SCM, DBMS, DWH, BI, and other components of the IT landscape.
Coordinate the implementation of systems and the work of external contractors.
Monitor the compliance of implemented solutions with the approved architecture.

Reliability and Security

Define approaches to access management, backup, monitoring, and incident response.
Formulate a plan for restoring system operation in case of technical failures, data loss, or compromise.
Ensure the stability, security, and availability of critical clinic systems.
Participate in the development of approaches to cybersecurity and protection of sensitive medical data.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in a relevant position in the healthcare/medical technology sector.
General experience in IT and system architecture.
Experience with comprehensive IT systems and their integration.
Experience with HIS, Ukrainian medical information systems, eHealth, and related integrations.
Proficient in SQL and practical experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MS SQL Server, or similar DBMS.
Understanding of CRM, HR systems, patient and staff data management systems.
Experience in designing systems, not just working with ready-made infrastructure.
Willingness to take full responsibility for the technical direction.
Ability to independently make architectural decisions and explain them to the business.
Strong communication skills and experience working with contractors and related teams.

This is not a position for an executor who works according to ready-made instructions. This is a role for a specialist responsible for the quality, security, and viability of technical solutions.
