About the Position
We are seeking a Java Developer (M/F/D) for a remote full-time position to join our team in Nuremberg, focusing on Java-based software development.

- You will accompany a customer-specific software project with a focus on Java in a self-organized and agile manner throughout its entire software development process: requirements analysis, design, programming, implementation, testing through to technical documentation as well as CI/CD and containerization.
- You will develop software components for innovative and complex merchandise management and POS solutions using Java, and also handle their customization in international environments.
- In a team, you will drive innovation forward and take responsibility for the technical implementation.
- You will use Domain Specific Languages (DSLs) to efficiently, transparently, and maintainably implement complex business logic and processes.
- You will use modern AI-supported tools and systems throughout the entire development process – for example for code generation, analysis, test automation, and quality assurance – and integrate them effectively into existing development and deployment workflows.
Requirements
- Very good knowledge of German and good English
- Degree in computer science or comparable technical apprenticeship
- Several years of professional experience in agile software development with Java/Java EE (agile methodologies: Scrum / Clean Code / Test-Driven Development)
- Practical experience with modern version control systems, build tools, and relational database systems
- Solid practical experience with web technologies, application servers, and common tools and development environments such as IntelliJ, Jenkins, and Git
- Extensive knowledge of Vue.js, TypeScript, HTML, and DBMS technologies such as SQL Server
- Experience in designing and implementing Domain Specific Languages (DSLs), for example for modeling business processes or simplifying complex configuration and rule systems
- Knowledge of using AI systems in software development, for example by leveraging Large Language Models to support development, testing, documentation, or refactoring, and you understand their strengths, limitations, and effective use in productive environments
