Software Tester (m/f/d) in Nuremberg

We are seeking a Software Tester for a full-time position in Nuremberg, focusing on quality assurance in retail software projects.

Responsibilities

• Independently support an agile, customer-specific software project in the retail sector, ensuring that the delivered solutions are reliable, stable, and user-friendly.
• Take ownership of key activities throughout the quality assurance process-from test analysis and test design to test execution, defect management, and quality documentation.
• Plan, create, and execute manual tests, including functional testing, regression testing, and the validation of business processes.
• Support the expansion of our test automation capabilities and contribute to integrating partially automated tests into existing development and CI/CD pipelines.
• Analyze requirements, derive appropriate test scenarios, and document test results in a clear, structured, and traceable manner.
• Work closely with software developers and business stakeholders to analyze defects, reproduce issues, and ensure sustainable solutions.

Requirements

• Excellent German and good English language skills.
• Technical vocational qualification, a university degree, or a comparable IT-related qualification.
• Ideally, practical experience in software testing or quality assurance within agile software projects.
• Solid technical understanding and practical experience working with databases and SQL.
• Familiarity with test automation, CI/CD processes, or tools such as Selenium, Postman, Jenkins, or Git.
• Clear communicator, enjoys working in a collaborative team environment, and is passionate about continuously improving software from both a user and quality perspective.
