About the Position
We are seeking a Mid/Senior Java Developer for a 100% remote position based in Kraków for our client - an international company based in New Jersey, specializing in mobile and web applications and corporate systems.
Responsibilities
- Join the team to modernize the Halo platform using the latest Java technologies (versions 17 to 21).
- Rewrite the existing Java system, focusing on API integrations with external platforms supporting straight-through processing (STP), analytics, and Managed Detection and Response (MDR).
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of commercial experience in Java programming.
- Proficiency in Java 17 or higher.
- Expertise in IntelliJ.
- Experience with Cucumber and GIT.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and experience with Excel.
- Familiarity with UNIX operating systems.
- Strong knowledge in:
- Multithreading (Multithreading)
- Memory Management
- Garbage Collector Tuning
- Experience with messaging frameworks (Tibco Rendezvous, Solace, ZeroMQ, Kafka, etc.).
- Very good knowledge of English (at least level B2).
Nice to Have
- Basic knowledge of Python.
- Knowledge in the field of finance.
- Familiarity with JIRA (understanding of development processes).
- Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
