Java Software Engineer

About the Position

Signal Processing is a team that mainly delivers the backend functionality within the Customer Operation Application department (responsible for the tools that operations use for the alarm handling and customer care).

Main responsibilities are:

• To handle the signal flows from the Concentrator until the alarm reaches the alarm operator.
• To ensure integrations between alarm handling system (SBN) and other systems/3rd party companies such as the telephony system, guard companies, and police.

We are looking for a candidate who will become a part of the team, working on the same tasks/projects that the team is working on as well as together with the team make sure existing products under the team’s ownership are maintained and monitored.

Remote work, the team is sitting in Helsinki, Oslo, Umeå, Linköping, and Bucharest.

Responsibilities

• Ensure integrations between alarm handling system (SBN) and other systems/3rd party companies such as the telephony system, guard companies, and police.

Requirements

• Technical Knowledge:

  • Java 11, 17
  • Spring boot
  • TSQL (SAP ASE or MSSQL)
  • Microservices
  • Kubernetes
  • Message Bus (RabbitMQ)
  • NoSQL (Cassandra)
  • Docker

• Nice to Have Technical Knowledge:

  • Apache Flink
  • Delphi
  • AWS

• Preferred Soft Skills:

  • Understand that the key to success is to make herself/himself a part of the team even though he/she is sitting remote and knows how to do that.
  • Willing/not afraid to share his/her perspective based on previous experience.
  • Take initiative to ask questions if something is unclear.
  • Being a team player and like to work together and deliver together.
