Junior Accountant / Accounting Assistant

About the Position

We're looking for a detail-oriented Junior Accountant / Accounting Assistant to join our Finance team and help keep our international accounting operations running smoothly. You'll work across multiple jurisdictions, supporting bookkeeping, multi-currency reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable, tax reporting, and audit activities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records through data entry, transaction booking, and account maintenance for entities in Cyprus, the UK, and Hong Kong.
• Process and reconcile multi-currency bank statements.
• Prepare files for internal accounting systems.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable by processing customer invoices and vendor bills.
• Prepare and submit VAT and VIES reports in compliance with Cyprus regulations.
• Support audits and compliance activities.
• Assist in preparing financial statements, management reports, and supporting documentation.
• Help with various day-to-day accounting and administrative tasks to ensure smooth financial operations.

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or audit.
• Experience working with cloud-based accounting software.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong analytical thinking and excellent attention to detail.
• Intermediate English (written and spoken).
• Ability to organize work independently and meet deadlines.

Nice to Have

• Experience working with international entities, particularly Cyprus, the UK, or Hong Kong.
• Experience with multi-currency transactions.
• Familiarity with accounting for multi-entity corporate structures.
