Responsibilities

• Teamwork: Collaborate on exciting projects related to our multilingual car rental sector, from comparison results and booking routes to self-services in the customer area and internal tools and web frontends. Work closely with backend, frontend, and product teams as well as external partners.
• Take Responsibility: Be responsible for the technical implementation of product improvements and continuously develop our applications for desktop, tablet, and mobile.
• Connect Interfaces & Systems: Design and implement REST-API connections and ensure that our backend systems, frontends, and partner integrations work together reliably.
• Optimize Tech Stack: Further develop our modern tech stack and contribute to ensuring the stability, scalability, maintainability, and future-proofing of our products.
• Participate in Shaping: Contribute your own ideas, implement innovative features in close collaboration with product management and IT teams, and benefit from short decision-making processes and fast release cycles.

Requirements

• Education: Excellently completed relevant degree in computer science, business informatics, or a comparable field.
• Practical Experience: Initial experience in software development and a solid understanding of object-oriented programming.
• Passion for AI/LLM-Tools: Actively engage with generative AI (e.g., Cursor AI, Claude, or JetBrains Junie) both for automating development tasks and for efficiently developing new features.
• Tech Stack: Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (PHP, Python, Golang, Typescript, etc.), experience with frameworks like Symfony, relational databases (SQL), and possibly Linux/DevOps knowledge.
• UI/UX & Web Development: Experience with modern frontend technologies such as React or React Router, combined with a good sense for UI/UX, responsive web development, and user-friendly interfaces.
• AI & Tools: Enthusiasm for AI and experience in using AI development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor) and interest in increasing and further developing their integration into the development process.
• Digital Mindset: Passion for web development, clean code principles, high willingness to learn, and hands-on mentality.
• Teamwork & Communication: Initiative, strong teamwork skills, and excellent communication skills.
• Language Skills: Good knowledge of German and English (at least B2 level).
