Junior Shopify Developer

About the Position

We’re looking for a Junior Shopify Developer to join our growing e-commerce team. You’ll work on building and customizing modern Shopify storefronts using Liquid, React, and Shopify’s latest technologies, including Hydrogen and Shopify Functions. This is a great opportunity for a developer with a solid frontend background to grow their expertise in Shopify and server-side rendering (SSR) frameworks while working on exciting international projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop, customize, and maintain Shopify storefronts using Liquid and React
• Build custom themes and extend existing ones based on design and project specifications
• Collaborate with designers, backend developers, and project managers to deliver seamless user experiences
• Work with APIs (REST and GraphQL) to integrate external services and data
• Optimize performance across desktop and mobile browsers
• Troubleshoot and resolve frontend-related issues in a timely manner

Requirements

• 1+ year of experience in frontend or full-stack development
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript and React
• Understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles
• Familiarity with Shopify platform and Liquid templating
• Comfortable working with Git and basic CLI tools
• English level B2 or higher (able to actively participate in meetings and write clear documentation)

Nice to Have

• Experience with Hydrogen, Remix, or other SSR frameworks
• Familiarity with Shopify Functions, custom apps, or Shopify Admin APIs
• Understanding of e-commerce UX best practices
• Basic knowledge of backend (Node.js or Shopify App development)
• Experience working in agile teams or with task management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello)
