We are expanding our team and looking for individuals who want to join us in realizing this dream and embarking on a journey that is constantly evolving.

Responsibilities

As a KFZ-Mechatroniker, you will be responsible for:

Maintenance:

  • Conduct systematic vehicle inspections and diagnose problems with the interior, equipment, and exterior.
  • Perform maintenance and repair work on recreational vehicles and trailers, including: replacing small exterior parts (light bulbs, windows, mirrors); replacing parts and repairing recreational vehicles; troubleshooting and repairing equipment in recreational vehicles.
  • Determine the cause of a defect before replacing parts and decide – and communicate clearly – when a vehicle is actually ready for rental.
  • Keep track of your repair list from start to finish and adjust it when urgent orders come in, without losing sight of the originally planned work.
  • Keep all vehicle documents, repair records, and parts consumption up to date in the fleet management system.
  • Keep tools, equipment, and the work area clean and tidy.
  • Ensure clear management of spare parts inventory – conduct inventory checks and record the receipt and consumption of spare parts.
  • Receive deliveries and supplies, store them in storage areas, and record consumption and new orders.
  • Maintain and build relationships with external partners and coordinate the execution of vehicle work with external suppliers and regional teams.

Depending on the location, you will also be actively involved in daily depot operations:

  • Preparing vehicles and equipment for customers
  • Assisting in processing incoming reservations, welcoming guests, and handling check-ins and check-outs
  • Maintaining the equipment, extras, and consumables stored in the depot

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of practical experience in repair, installation, or maintenance – recreational vehicles, trailers, boats, household appliances, carpentry, bodywork, or similar. We care about what you can repair, not in which industry you have done it.
  • Strengths in at least one of the following areas: interior installation, equipment/system repair, or exterior repairs – willingness to learn the other areas.
  • Safe handling of hand and power tools.
  • Ability to work from a repair list and adjust the daily schedule according to incoming jobs.
  • Fluent German and good English skills in a professional context.
  • Work permit for Germany, valid driver's license (Class B), and sufficient confidence in handling a recreational vehicle.
  • Availability on weekends and public holidays.
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel, including the possibility of working abroad for certain periods, depending on the project.
  • Availability on weekends and during peak times; no issues with being on your feet for extended periods inside and outside the depot and lifting loads of 10–15 kg.

We Offer

  • Become part of a young, rapidly growing, and innovative company where you can make a difference.
  • Career opportunities in the field and possibilities for a transfer to our offices in Lisbon, Mexico City, or Manila.
  • Continuous training and coaching to develop the skills that matter to you.
  • Compensation package with performance and referral bonuses.
  • Free road trips to experience Indie firsthand – travel through Europe, North America, and Oceania.
