Responsibilities

As a KFZ-Mechatroniker, you will be responsible for:

  • Maintenance:

    • Conducting systematic vehicle inspections and diagnosing problems with the interior, equipment, and exterior.
    • Performing maintenance and repair work on recreational vehicles and trailers, including: replacing minor exterior parts (light bulbs, windows, mirrors); replacing parts and repairing recreational vehicles; troubleshooting and repairing equipment in recreational vehicles.
    • Determining the cause of a malfunction before replacing parts and deciding – and communicating clearly – when a vehicle is actually ready for rental.
    • Keeping track of your repair list from start to finish and adjusting it when urgent orders come in without losing sight of the originally planned work.
    • Keeping all vehicle documents, repair records, and parts consumption up to date in the fleet management system.
    • Keeping tools, equipment, and the work area clean and tidy.
    • Ensuring clear management of spare parts inventory – conducting inventory checks and recording incoming goods and consumption of spare parts.
    • Receiving deliveries and supplies, storing them in storage areas, and recording consumption and new orders.
    • Maintaining and building relationships with external partners and coordinating the execution of vehicle work with external suppliers and regional teams.
  • Daily Depot Operations:

    • Preparing vehicles and equipment for customers.
    • Assisting in processing incoming reservations, welcoming guests, and handling check-ins and check-outs.
    • Maintaining depot-stored equipment, extras, and consumables.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of practical experience in repair, installation, or maintenance – recreational vehicles, trailers, boats, household appliances, carpentry, bodywork, or similar. We value what you can repair, not in which industry you have done it.
  • Strengths in at least one of the following areas: interior fitting, equipment/system repair, or exterior repairs – willingness to learn the other areas.
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools.
  • Ability to work from a repair list and adjust the daily schedule according to incoming jobs.
  • Fluent German and good English skills in a professional context.
  • Work permit for Germany, valid driver's license (Class B), and sufficient confidence in handling a recreational vehicle.
  • Availability on weekends and public holidays.
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel, including the possibility of working abroad for certain periods depending on the project.
  • Availability on weekends and during peak times; no issues with being on your feet for extended periods inside and outside the depot and lifting loads of 10-15 kg.

We Offer

  • Join a young, rapidly growing, and innovative company where you can make a difference.
  • Career opportunities in the field and possibilities for a transfer to our offices in Lisbon, Mexico City, or Manila.
  • Continuous training and coaching to develop the skills that matter to you.
  • Compensation package with performance and referral bonuses.
  • Free road trips to experience Indie firsthand – travel through Europe, North America, and Oceania.
