About Your Role

How will you help our clients optimize their cloud performance?

As a Kubernetes Engineer at Quality, you will be designing, implementing, and managing modern container platforms. You will assist organizations in building scalable, reliable, and secure environments where cloud-native applications can run optimally.

You will be involved in both the implementation and continuous development of Kubernetes platforms, often in Azure (AKS), but also in hybrid and multi-cloud environments. Depending on your seniority, your focus will be on either the technical execution or on design, standardization, and advisory roles.

A Glimpse into Your Daily Tasks

In your role, you will directly contribute to the success of our clients. Your tasks include:

  • Designing, setting up, and managing Kubernetes clusters (such as Azure Kubernetes Service – AKS).
  • Maintaining and optimizing container platforms for production environments.
  • Collaborating with DevOps and development teams to make applications cloud-native.
  • Setting up and improving CI/CD processes and deployment strategies.
  • Implementing monitoring and logging (e.g., Prometheus and Grafana).
  • Implementing security best practices (RBAC, secrets management, network policies).
  • Automating platforms with Helm and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep).
  • Analyzing and solving performance and stability issues.
  • Designing Kubernetes platforms and related architectures.
  • Providing technical guidance on implementations and acting as a point of contact for clients and colleagues.
  • Supervising platform transitions and modernization projects.
  • Making trade-offs in the areas of security, scalability, performance, and manageability.
  • Documenting technical choices in documents such as Low Level Designs (LLDs) and contributing to the further standardization of Azure environments.

What You Bring

You are a driven Kubernetes engineer who loves challenges and responsibility. You know how to solve complex cloud issues and are ready for the next step. Furthermore, you have:

  • Proven experience with Kubernetes (e.g., AKS, EKS, or OpenShift) in production environments.
  • Experience with container technology (Docker) and knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure and AKS.
  • You work well in Agile environments and are familiar with Scrum, Kanban, and DevOps methodologies.
  • You have an affinity for applying best practices such as the Well-Architected Framework.
  • Experience in managing and expanding existing clusters, and strong in troubleshooting and optimization.
  • Experience within DevOps teams and with CI/CD processes.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation (Terraform, Bicep, Bash, and/or PowerShell) and affinity with security, scalability, and reliability.
  • At least CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator), supplemented with or the ambition towards certifications such as CKAD and/or CKS.
  • You are analytically strong and able to understand complex issues.
  • You are able to work independently and are proactive and continuously focused on improvement.

We Offer

  • A fixed contract for at least 36 hours per week.
  • A competitive salary, aligned with your knowledge and experience between € 4.000 and € 6.000.
  • An indefinite contract and 100% premium-free pension scheme. This means you keep more net!
