About the Role

As a Lead AI Agent Architect, you will be our technical pacesetter for sophisticated AI agent solutions. You understand how modern LLM-based systems work, can design and build agents yourself, and ensure that solid demos become robust, productive solutions.

You will increasingly take on responsibilities beyond your own projects: You will provide technical support to other Solution Specialists, set technical standards, and work with our clients to solve complex requirements.

You don't need to be an experienced team leader yet. What's crucial is that you are technically strong and eager to develop towards technical leadership and customer responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Design and build AI Agents. You will develop advanced AI Agents in the VIER AI Studio – from the initial solution draft through agent design, knowledge, and tools to integration and productive use.
• Take technical responsibility. You will define best practices for building production-ready AI agents together with Product and Engineering, ensuring high technical quality in our client projects.
• Solve complex problems. When agents don't work reliably, integrations become challenging, or new solutions are needed, you will delve into the technical details and develop robust solutions with the team.
• Make others technically better. You will support our Solution Specialists on architecture, implementation, and quality issues, share knowledge, and increasingly become the technical point of contact for the team.
• Develop solutions with clients. You will work directly with our clients, understand their processes and requirements, and translate them into functional AI agent solutions together with them.
• Make quality measurable. You will not only think about whether an agent works in principle. You will deal with testing, evaluation, guardrails, monitoring, and how to systematically improve quality and reliability.
• Connect product and project. You will bring insights from real client projects back to our Product Management and Engineering, helping to continuously develop the VIER AI Studio.
• Turn individual projects into scalable solutions. You will recognize recurring patterns and develop standards, templates, and reusable components that make our implementation faster and more reliable.

Requirements

• You have built AI Agents. You have practical experience with LLM-based applications, AI agents, or advanced conversational AI solutions and have brought them from conception to implementation.
• You understand modern agent engineering. Agentic workflows, prompt and context engineering, tool & function calling, RAG or knowledge grounding, and guardrails are topics you have dealt with in practice. The challenges of voice agents are also known to you from practice.
• You can dive deep technically. You understand software architectures, APIs, JSON, webhooks, and integrations and can analyze technical problems independently. You are proficient in Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
• You think production-oriented. For you, an AI agent is not successful if the demo works. Reliability, quality, scalability, and actual benefit in productive use are crucial.
• You want to take on responsibility. You are eager to shape technical decisions, support colleagues technically, and take on responsibility beyond your own tasks.
• You can convey technical topics. You can explain complex technical relationships comprehensibly and want to use your experience more in direct exchange with clients and partners in the future.
