Lead Category Management (They/She/He)

Glovo, part of the Delivery Hero Group, is a leading local delivery platform operating in around 65 countries worldwide. We are headquartered in Berlin, Germany, and have been listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange since 2017. We are currently seeking a Lead Category Management professional to join our team in Warsaw, Poland.

Responsibilities

• Build and Lead the Team: Onboard, set goals, mentor, and manage the performance of a team of 3-4 people, including 1 analyst/senior analyst and 2-3 interns.
• Own the Category Management Roadmap: Prioritize initiatives with the highest business impact across Groceries, Retail, and Specialties.
• Assortment Onboarding: Create and improve templates with guidelines and ways-of-working for onboarding partners.
• Catalog Management: Handle catalog changes requests, ensuring compliance with guidelines and SLAs, and educating partners.
• Optimize Catalog Category Tree: Define and implement an optimized catalog category tree through collaborative workshops.
• Performance Decomposition: Analyze partner performance to identify gaps and out-of-stock drivers, and collaborate with Account Managers and Partners to address them.
• Track KPIs: Monitor and translate team KPIs into actions for our Partners.
• Walk the Store: Regularly detect errors or improvement opportunities in the Glovo app.
• Collaborate with Stakeholders: Ensure alignment between Business and Partner goals with Account Managers and Partners’ HQ CatMan teams.
• Integration Bridge: Connect Glovo’s and Partner’s integrations teams to mitigate and quickly fix bugs/errors.
• Automation and AI: Scale the team’s impact through automation and AI, including dashboards, alerts, and self-serve reporting.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in Category Management within retail, e-commerce, or FMCG.
• People Management: Proven experience in leading, mentoring, and managing a team.
• Technical Skills: Advanced level with SQL or BI tools (Looker is a strong plus) and comfort working with large datasets.
• Performance Decomposition: Experience in decomposing performance (funnel, pricing, availability, assortment) and translating data into business impact.
• Stakeholder Management: Strong skills in managing stakeholders, with exposure to senior partners and cross-functional teams.
• Analytical Approach: Experience in defining solutions to complex, strategic topics with a data-driven approach.
• Creative Solutions: Ability to quickly define creative and scalable solutions for manual/ad-hoc tasks.
• Attention to Detail: Balance attention to detail with swift execution.
• Organization: Exceptional organizational skills.
• Languages: Native fluency in Polish and full proficiency in English.
