About the Position

We are looking for an experienced Lead DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and operate scalable infrastructure and observability platforms. In this role, you will take ownership of our Elastic Stack environments, Kubernetes clusters, and automation pipelines, driving reliability, security, and performance across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, configure, and operate Elastic Clusters to ensure high availability and performance
  • Manage the Elastic Stack with a focus on ingestion pipelines and datastores
  • Implement monitoring and telemetry collection using Elastic Enterprise
  • Deploy and maintain Kubernetes clusters supporting production workloads
  • Design and implement automation following Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline software delivery
  • Configure and maintain Elastic SIEM for security event monitoring
  • Administer and automate Linux environments at scale
  • Implement application and user security using LDAP, SAML2, OIDC, and OAuth2
  • Manage secrets and sensitive configurations through HashiCorp Vault Enterprise
  • Collaborate with development teams using distributed version control systems such as GitLab

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience in IT operations, software, or infrastructure engineering
  • At least 1 year of relevant leadership experience
  • Expertise in the Elastic Stack, including Elasticsearch, Kibana, and Logstash
  • Proficiency in Kubernetes cluster deployment and operations
  • Skills in Infrastructure as Code development and maintenance
  • Background in setting up and operating Elastic Clusters, ingestion pipelines, and datastores
  • Competency in monitoring and telemetry collection with Elastic Enterprise and Elastic SIEM
  • Knowledge of programming and scripting languages such as Go, Shell, and Ansible
  • Familiarity with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning
  • Understanding of Linux automation and administration
  • Capability to implement authentication and authorization using LDAP, SAML2, and OIDC/OAuth2
  • Qualifications in secret management tools such as HashiCorp Vault
  • Showcase of experience with Kibana UI and Kibana Alert
  • Proficiency in English at an Upper-Intermediate level (B2) or higher

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with Argo CD for GitOps-based deployments
  • Experience with Red Hat OpenShift
  • Knowledge of OTel Collector and Elastic Security
  • Understanding of common storage technologies such as CEPH, S3, and XFS
  • Fluency in German
