Lead DevOps Platforms Engineer

About the Position

Netcompany is seeking a Lead DevOps Platforms Engineer to join our growing Cloud Operations Team in Leeds, UK. In this role, you will help enhance the support, delivery, and evolution of our Netcompany Platforms solutions. You will work alongside a skilled and forward-thinking engineering community to build high-performing, resilient, and secure services for our clients.

Responsibilities

• Leadership:

  • Lead technical initiatives, mentor engineers, and drive DevOps best practices.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, engaging both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Technical:

  • Design, build, and operate cloud-native platforms in Azure and/or AWS.
  • Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
  • Strong experience with Kubernetes, containerisation, and platform operations.
  • Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and observability solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor, ELK/EFK.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Design and implement high-availability and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Experience with multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud architectures.
  • Knowledge of FinOps and cloud cost optimisation practices.
  • Implement DevSecOps principles and security controls within CI/CD pipelines.
  • Build developer platforms and self-service capabilities.

Requirements

• Essential:

  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain UK Security Clearance.
  • Willingness to travel within the UK when required.

• Desirable Qualifications:

  • Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
  • Azure DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400)
  • AWS Solutions Architect – Associate
  • AWS SysOps Administrator – Associate
  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
  • HashiCorp Terraform Associate
