About the Position
We are on the hunt for a talented Lead ETL Engineer who brings solid expertise in Python and its related frameworks, along with practical AWS experience. The successful candidate will take charge of designing, building, and sustaining ETL pipelines for our customer. You will coordinate closely with teams across the organization to guarantee that data integration and transformation workflows remain efficient, dependable, and able to scale.
Responsibilities
- Reduce dependence on extended meetings for collecting requirements by connecting directly with business stakeholders
- Produce clean, reusable, and well-organized code that supports long-term maintainability
- Independently architect and design complete data solutions from start to finish
- Sustain broad technical competency across various domains while building deep expertise in select areas
- Actively seek out new knowledge and remain inquisitive about developing tools and methods
- Assume complete ownership and responsibility for assigned initiatives and outcomes
- Judge when automation delivers value versus when manual methods make more sense
- Look for ways to streamline and simplify complicated processes and systems
- Bring an entrepreneurial, business-savvy outlook to daily work
- Maintain a quality-driven approach that goes beyond code, actively monitoring data to catch issues before they affect the business
- Embrace calculated risk-taking and champion fresh, innovative approaches
Requirements
- At least 5 years of relevant hands-on professional experience
- A minimum of one year of experience guiding and managing development teams
- Practical data engineering experience using Python
- Background working with both SQL and NoSQL database systems
- Skilled use of Git for version control and team-based development
- Experience with AWS services, especially AWS Lambda
- Strong command of Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipeline tools, with Jenkins experience viewed favorably
- Background working in Agile environments using Scrum or Kanban approaches
- Strong troubleshooting capabilities for identifying and resolving technical problems
- Effective communication skills for working collaboratively across different teams
- Strong written and spoken proficiency in English at a B2 level or higher
Nice to Have
- Familiarity or experience within healthcare information interoperability domains
- Knowledge of FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources) medical resource specifications
- Background working with HL7 FHIR standards for exchanging healthcare data
