About the Position

Lead Indirect Procurement

Glovo is seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Indirect Procurement team, focusing on Tech, Finance, and Legal categories. This role is pivotal in transforming our procurement strategies, driving cost optimization, and ensuring compliance across these complex categories.

Responsibilities

• Own the Category Strategy: Collaborate with Engineering, IT leadership, CFO organization, and the General Counsel's team to develop 12-24 month category roadmaps.
• Spend Analysis and Optimization: Analyze spend data to identify savings and value-creation opportunities.
• Negotiation Leadership: Lead high-value commercial and contractual negotiations, ensuring hard savings and compliant agreements.
• Cost Optimization Programs: Drive initiatives for tool consolidation, license optimization, vendor rationalization, and benchmarking.
• Team Development: Coach and mentor Category Managers, develop playbooks, templates, and savings methodologies.
• Policy and Compliance: Ensure procurement processes are audit-ready and all vendors are onboarded and due-diligenced.
• Budget and Savings Tracking: Monitor budget spend and savings delivery, deputize for the Head of Indirect Procurement in approvals and escalations.

Requirements

• Experience: 7+ years in indirect procurement or strategic sourcing, with a focus on Tech categories.
• Negotiation Skills: Proven track record in leading complex, high-value negotiations.
• Commercial Literacy: Knowledge of MSA, SOW, DPA, SLAs, liability, termination, and renewal mechanics.
• Procurement Governance: Understanding of policies, approval matrices, vendor due diligence, and third-party risk.
• Financial Acumen: Expertise in TCO models, business cases, savings methodology, and advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills.
• Stakeholder Credibility: Ability to challenge demand, say no when necessary, and maintain partnerships with senior stakeholders.
• Coaching Experience: Demonstrated experience in coaching or mentoring peers.
• Language: Fluent English (C1), written and spoken.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in SAP Ariba or another S2P suite (Coupa, Ivalua).
• Environment: Experience in scale-up, marketplace, or multi-country settings.
