About the Position
We are seeking a Lead JavaScript Software Engineer with a passion for building rich, responsive web and hybrid-mobile applications. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and Next.js to deliver fast, SEO-friendly, and mobile-first user interfaces, working closely with backend engineers, UX designers, and product owners to translate interactive designs into clean, modular, and reusable front-end code.
Responsibilities
- Design and build high-performance, responsive web applications using React and Next.js (utilizing features like SSR, SSG, and API routes)
- Implement pixel-perfect, mobile-first designs that adapt seamlessly across devices, with a specific focus on optimizing layouts, animations, and touch interactions for mobile viewports (including iOS/Android browsers)
- Manage complex client-side state (e.g., Redux, Zustand, Context API) and integrate applications with backend RESTful or GraphQL APIs

- Craft exceptional web experiences that look and feel like native mobile apps
- Optimize performance for both desktop and mobile web view browsers (including iOS Safari)
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable JavaScript/TypeScript
- Conduct thorough code reviews and contribute to the shared UI component library
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software development
- Proven experience in modern web development with a strong focus on building user-facing features
- Advanced knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, and React
- Practical experience with the Next.js framework (App Router or Pages Router, Server Components)
- Familiarity with modern CSS frameworks or methodologies (e.g., Tailwind CSS, styled-components, CSS Modules)
- Experience in optimizing web apps for mobile browsers, PWAs (Progressive Web Apps), or integrating web views within hybrid mobile containers
- Experience with Git and working in an Agile/Scrum development cycle
- English proficiency at B2 level or higher
We Offer
- Opportunity to work in a hybrid role based in Guadalajara, Mexico
- Collaborative environment with backend engineers, UX designers, and product owners
- Chance to contribute to the shared UI component library
